Fat Bubble: Fat Girl Flow
Welcome to the Fat Bubble, where every week I love to land in your inbox and share resources, folks and leaders who inspire fat joy, fat resistance and fat affirmation in us all.
Today, I'm sharing someone who I love to follow on Instagram - Corissa Enneking. I found them through their relationship with J Aprileo - Comfy Fat Travels, who I've featured before - and love to witness their loving connection with each other. Watching fat folks in satisfying, affirming, uplifting relationships is the best! I also always watch out for their own individual content, and blog posts - I was particularly grateful for their blog post on wide trainers (as a wide footed woman, I'm always on the hunt for good footwear).
Along with Hannah Moushabeck, who I've also previously featured, they have just launched Fatties For Palestine, and with that have launched a t shirt in solidarity with those still experiencing a genocide.
At marches, I look out for fat people. I long to see my own community represented, and I feel a settling when I see my own identity reflected back to me in other intersecting focuses. I've drawn on a proud fat and queer tradition on standing in solidarity with those being marginalised or oppressed, as I find momentum to keep me going on this long and painful fight for justice and peace. And I'm so happy to see such a stunning representation of this, in this t shirt. Whilst some of the sizes have already sold out (even though it was launched on Tuesday!), that really shows me how mobilised fat folks are to find any opportunity to stand in solidarity with our Palestinian siblings, and to do so proudly rooted in fat liberation.
If you head to the purchase link I've shared above you'll be able to see if your size is in stock, or sign up for restock notifications.
Now, below, you'll also find a new section, Fat Snacks! These are little fat snippets of joy that I notice through the week, and would love to share with you!
Until next week friends, wishing you safety and joy.
